If Marilyn was around today then we could surely imagine her strolling through the sandy west coast beaches wearing our Emma shades. Capturing the glamorous era which Monroe symbolized, this youthful design is playful and elegant.

We just finished up our photoshoot and interview with Wallpaper magazine at the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere in Rome this afternoon. Here is Luca and Wallpaper’s editor at large J.J. Martin wearing “Orano” in honey. The article comes out in September, can’t wait!

Luisa Via Roma asked us to participate in Meyer Onlus’ Noi Per Voi children’s charity event in Florence, where we were more than happy to say yes. Up for raffle were our Tripoli frames in Havana, and as you can see from the images, they were an item much in demand!

Oh Yes, that is Michael Stipe from the legendary band R.E.M, wearing our trademark frames “Massawa” in Havana 02. This shot was taken last week at Istanbul’s International Festival of Culture, Istancool, where we sent over a cool selection of eyewear to the likes of Jefferson Hack, Kirsten Dunst, Tilda Swinton, and many other familiar faces.

The annual Cannes film festival starts next Wednesday and we couldn’t miss out on the opportunity to send a few frames to some of our favorite stars, such as Carla Bruni, Lea Seydoux, Woody Allen, Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and many more! So keep a lookout for some L.G.R’s making their way through La Croisette!

L.G.R can now be found at Maxfield in Los Angeles, a concept store known for specializing in unique and hard to find pieces in men and woman’s apparel. A visit to this shop is well worth your time, since the exterior even resembles an annex of the Museum of Modern Art complete with sculptures and statuary pieces. We found another inspirational shot from the movie “The Girl on a Motorcycle” with Alain Delon and Marianne Faithfull. In this film, the director Jack Cardiff, was able to capture the cool essence of a young Delon who projected an enigmatic, and slightly dangerous quality that suggested a rebellious spirit. We think he would have loved our Khartoum shades in black.

Photographer Jack Pierson and stylist Anastasia Barbieri collarborated together for a stunning editorial featured in Vogue Hommes International. Our Tripoli sunglasses are used in a few of these shots, and we find them absolutely suitable for the sunny summer days that are yet to come!
