Pellicano

Now that August is around the corner, we are ready to pack our bags and head off to the beautiful Tyrrhenian sea of Porto Ercole (where the boat scenes of the movie The Talented Mr. Ripley took place). The Hotel Il Pellicano, considered one of the most exclusive hotels in Italy, is located on the water, has private access to the sea, and a restaurant that is rated with 2 Michelin stars. A must see is their lovely boutique which has a great selection of our sunglasses and safari bags.

Object of Desire

On your way to a Safari anytime soon? Neither are we. However we will be making some weekend trips to Portofino, and what would be better than to carry your garments in an elegant safari bag. L.G.R and Sandstorm (a Kenyan based company) have collaborated to make a refined and practical bag for traveling. Like all other L.G.R products there is no external logo on the bag. The canvas, which is used to make tents as well, is water resistant and hand tinted in Tanzania, the corners are reinforced with leather, and there are adjustable studs for fastening closure. For inquiries on retailers, please email info@lgr-sunglasses.com

"Tangeri" in black/ yellow photochromic

"Tangeri" in black/ yellow photochromic

If you are heading to Valencia’s Grand Prix this weekend, then bring some L.G.R’s with yellow gradient lenses, such as pictured above in the new model “Tangeri”. They are especially great for driving since the upper grey area of the lenses protect from sun exposure and the lower yellow area emphasizes the contrast of all objects within view, therefore making the ride a whole lot smoother.

The Envy of Elegance

Jun 10 2010

Enteara

L.G.R would like to give you a preview of one of the newest additions to its collection, Enteara. Named after an island off of the coast of Eritrea, these new sunglasses are inspired by the glamorous French Riviera of the 1960’s. They are sophisticated, and recall the Saint Tropez of Jane Birkin and Romy Schneider in  Jacques Deray’s film, La Piscine. In addition to the new model, two new colors were also added to the line which are “nut/grey” and “Ice/grey”.  Now you can take a little bit of the Cote d’azur with you wherever you go this summer.

Shades of Africa

May 7 2010

Vitage Africa Poster

The new colors for the optical collection of L.G.R are inspired by the captivating shades of Africa. The green baobab trees, the ivory elephant tusks, and the khaki safari tents, have all contributed to the development of these unique colors. They are available in 3 different models: “Djibouti”, “Nina”, and “Lagos”.  Perfect for any aficionado of spectacles who wants to diversify their collection, or anyone who just needs a fresh change of eyeglasses. Why not start for the summer?
